The second day of the Nagoya Eco Clean Car Fair brought more exposure to the new technologies that the automotive industry is looking at to be the next generation of vehicles. And, as the Scuderi Group engineers have learned, the Scuderi Engine can give boosts in power and efficiency to even the alternative fuel-powered cars. One such vehicle on display this weekend in Nagoya is the natural gas-powered car. The base split cycle Scuderi Engine has the ability to operate a natural gas automobile at a higher compression ratio than a conventional engine being powered by natural gas. Fulfilling a family dream and passing another milestone in internal combustion engine efficiency, the Scuderi Group will unveil on April 20 a working model of the first proof-of-concept prototype for its Scuderi Split-Cycle Engine. It will be on display at the Society of Automotive Engineers World Congress at the Cobo Center in Detroit, Booth 837. The one-liter, naturally aspirated gasoline prototype is expected to produce up to 80% less toxins than a typical internal combustion engine. And when fully developed with its turbo charged and air hybrid components, it is expected to achieve significant gains in fuel efficiency –...
