Most of the time when we talk about the Scuderi Engine it is in the context of burning gasoline. However, the engine has the potential to run on many other fuels, including biofuels, natural gas, and Diesel. In fact, early studies tell us that the Scuderi Cycle technology could have its biggest impact in the Diesel sector. Working the booth at this week's IAA Commercial Vehicles trade fair in Hannover, Germany, Sal Scuderi explained how a Scuderi Diesel engine would work.

  • Everything that I read and hear about the Scuderi engine is very impressive. Reducing toxic emissions by not creating them, is brilliant common sense. Using the existing infrastructure for fuel delivery, allows these vehicles to seamlessly enter our lives. I know nothing about engineering, but the rather simple, elegant design of the engine makes me wonder if the transition would be simple for the shops and mechanics who work on our engines now. I have the same question about the manufacturing of cars run by this engine. Does it fit into current car design and maintenance easily and economically?
